Hemmorhoid?
This is sort of embarrassing but here goes...
When I was around 11, I had a problem with constipation and I developed an external hemorrhoid. I never had it looked at by a doctor, because it's never bothered me. Well, now I'm 17 and its still there. Yesterday it got a bit larger, because I guess I was slightly constipated. It's still not bothering me, but I was just wondering if there is any chance it will go away on its own, or will I have to have it removed by a doctor? I've read that they can go away on their own with home treatments within a few weeks, but I've had it for 6 years and never treated it, so I don't know...
I asked this question last night, and someone told me I need to change how I eat and exercise more. I don't think that's the answer. I get plenty of fiber and I am at a normal weight. I have not had a problem with constipation in a long time, I only get constipated once in a great while, usually when I'm so busy and stressed that I don't drink enough water.
If it's been there all of those years like you say it has...then at this point, it isn't going anywhere..
The best thing to do at this point in time is to go to the doctor, have it looked at and finding out the different options to remove it...
This is usually a safe, surgical procedure...and the subject itself, I know, is not pleasant and does not come without embarrassment...
Hemorrhoids can be either surgically removed and/or removed with a laser...both procedures are safe and there may be some discomfort afterwards, but that will soon go away.
