I’m not sure how useful it is yet. I’ve looked at the website quite a bit and have downloaded the IPhone app. While its cool to see price history and distribution, it doesn’t really fit the way I shop for food. For example, price is the last thing I care about when buying food. I’m more concerned about quality, shelf life, ease of shopping experience, and availability. There’s probably a reason why strawberries at CVS cost $1 vs $3-$5 at Whole Foods. However, if there is a Farmers Market 2 days later and they sell strawberries for $5 – $10, I’d hold out and pay the higher price because I want to support the community and I know the strawberries might actually be better.Grocery shopping is one of those things that requires a customized approach and entails lots of subjective factors that vary person to person. I would find the site much more useful if it had categories that I could fit myself into. For example, I’m a cheap post-college, Paleo eater. Show me the best places I can buy good quality meats, vegetables, and nuts. Show me schedules of Farmers Markets in my area and the typical products they might stock. Show me a feed of what other people in my category buy, so I can think of other ideas that may be outside of my initial comfort zone.

Vegetarianism is the practice of a diet that excludes all animal flesh, including poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacea, and slaughter by-products[1] [2]. The reasons for choosing vegetarianism may be related to morality, religion, culture, ethics, aesthetics, environment, society, economy, politics, taste, or health.

Hi this is the definition from wikipedia, which I personally agree with. And so by going what you have stated you eat a vegetarian diet. You shouldn't worry about titles/labels too much, just eat the diet you are happy with! :)

If you are concerned about the source of your eggs, try and find a local farmer which might allow you to see how the hens are treated. If they are treated humanely, the farmer shouldn't have any qualms about letting you look round.

There's some really scrumptious vegan chocolate you can buy, use this link they have a few vegan bars. Other brands to try are, Divine, Plamil, Green & Blacks, Organica, check the label, they state if they are vegan or vegetarian!

Cheese is quite a difficult one to give up, although there are dairy free cheeses( look in your health food shops) and some are quite pleasant, they are very different to cheese and the taste takes a bit of getting used to, this is just my experience!

    No charge! :)

Probably because the vets sell it. What most people dont know is that vets get little or no nutritional training and they are only selling you Science Diet because they get paid for every bag they sell by the company.

As you can see, ground yellow corn is the first ingredient. This isnt exactly what an obligate carnivore needs to be eating.
