Depends on the program and the state's requirements. You need to review the programs that you are interested in and specifically see what their programs will enable you to be licensed as, and then review your state's requirements for the type of degree and licensing you need in order to do what you want to do. Remember that there is a nationwide movement to increase the requirements to be a nurse practitioner to the doctorate level. Keep that in mind as you earn your MSN degree- it may not be enough in the near future.
