Went to the doctors, i've got piles and the only treatment i've got it some cream to sooth them. My GP said they'll 'pop back in' in due course and i'll be left with a tag. How long will this take?
Its VERY uncomfortable and i've never been so embarrassed.... I attended the appointment with out my mum knowing and she's wondering why i'm not sitting properly etc =/ far to embarrassing to tell her why.

Or just wash your face 'n use the stuff in a row?

I find it hard to believe the rest will work if your just piling creams on your face.

admin answers:

Lol no you DO NOT wash your face once you cleanse it. Use the cleanser, then wait five minutes, then apply the spot treatment then wait another five minutes then apply moisturizer. Be very gentle when you touch you face and apply this products. There are three causes of acne. Imbalance hormones, toxic colon(including diet issues), and a toxic congested liver(for thoose with cystic acne). To balance hormones you might want to add essential fatty acids also known as EFAs. To treat a toxic colon you will need to an internal cleansing. I have tried diffrent ones and the best one i found was "The Colon Cleansing Kit" from blessedherbs.com. To treat a toxic congested liver(for thoose with cystic), you will have to do a Parasite cleanse, and then you might want to do a liver cleansing. Also foods you will need to avoid :Wheat, monosodium glutamate(MSG),Aspartame, Dairy products( milk, skim milk, whey protein, ice cream, cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt, whipped cream, cheese, ice cream etc. Oh and butter is ok). Avoid sugar(brown sugar, maple syrup, high fructose corn syrup, etc.). Avoid potatoes(not including sweet potatoes or yams). Avoid refined carbohydrated(white flour, cookies, cakes, pizza, crackers, chips, pancakes, grits, spaghetti, noodles, enriched flour, white rice, white bread, macaroni, candy, etc. Avoid shellfish(shrimp, oysters, crab, lobster, etc. Avoid soda, fruit juice(high in concentreated sugars),dried fruits(figs, raisins, dates),fried foods and deep fried foods, roasted nuts, preservatives, alcohol(one you drink), and last but not least hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils. It has been said that food had nothing to do with acne. Remember that acne product companies dont want you to cure your acne but control it with drugs to make MONEY.

admin answers:

Obviously not pregnant, but I have just recently had successful treatment for hemorrhoids which have plagued me for years. I tried creams etc and they just did not work and would come back regularly. If you are getting bleeding and bad soreness I suggest seeing your GP and asking about rubber band ligation. This is where they place tiny rubber bands around the base of the hemorrhoids and the lack of blood makes them fall off. It's done at hospital and takes about 15mins to do by a trained nurse. I won't go as far as to say pain free (plus it's different for everyone I guess) but I would say for a short period of discomfort the procedure is definitely worth it. This in combination with a high fibre diet and lots of water should keep you out of the woods. I am 6 weeks out from it and think it was the best decision ever. Good Luck

How can you tell which form of acne you have? Is there a different treatment which is more effective against your specific form of acne?

Acne can come in many forms. I will try to describe the various forms of acne as well as explain the distinguishing characteristics of each.

There are forms of acne which are relatively minor and there are also some very serious acne conditions as well. The most minor forms of acne are also the most common.

This most common form of acne is known as 'acne vulgaris'. Acne lesions that are considered acne vulgaris are blackheads, whiteheads, papules and pustules.

- Whiteheads (similar to postules) occur when skin pores becomes clogged due to trapped oil, bacteria and dead skin cells. The surface of the skin becomes white. This type of acne typically has the shortest lifespan.

- Blackheads typically occur when the pores are just partially blocked by oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. Blackheads can linger for a long time and take a quite a while to clear up.

- Papules are red, tender bumps that have become inflamed but do not have the white appearance on the tip. Papules can more easily become infected and therefore should not be squeezed

- Pustules are similar to whiteheads but are inflamed and have a red circle surrounding the affected area.

Cystic acne is in the class of severe vulgaris can appear very similar to a nodule but a cyst is pus filled and usually gets much larger. Cystic acne is very painful and even if left alone can cause scarring. Squeezing acne cysts will most likely cause the area to become infected and cause it to last much longer than if the pimple had been left alone.

Acne that forms into nodules is also severe and shows up as spots that are larger and can be rather painful. Nodules are large, hard bumps under the skin's surface and can last for up to several months. Squeezing nodular acne will result in scarring and will also prolong the life of the pimple.

Acne Rosacea looks very similar to acne vulgaris and affects millions over the age of thirty. Acne Rosacea is a red rash, which is found on the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Bumps, pimples, and other skin blemishes accompany it. This form of acne also causes the blood vessels to become more visible on the skin. It is more common in women but more severe for men.

Acne Conglobata is the most severe form of acne. It is characterized by a lot of large lesions and widespread blackheads. Left untreated it ill result in severe damage to the skin and scarring. It is usually found on the face, chest, back, buttocks, upper arms, and thighs.

As with most acne, the cause of this form is also unknown. Treatment usually includes medication and is sometimes resistant to treatment. Strong and persistent treatment will conquer the acne in most cases.

Acne Fulminans is an onset of acne conglobata with symptoms of severe nodule cysts. Extreme scarring is possible and even likely. Symptoms may also include a fever and achy joints. Antibiotics do not typically work with this form of acne and oral steroids are normally the preferred method of treatment.

Although there are many types of acne the most common is the mild acne and is very treatable. Most people outgrow acne by the time they reach their thirties. If scarring occurs there are many treatment options for the acne sufferer.

Prevention of acne is still the best way to avoid any complications. If you suffer from an acne which seems to be more troublesome than average acne, a dermatologist will be able to prescribe a treatment that will lessen the swelling as well as prevent scarring.

Vitamin E is fine example of a good skincare vitamin.

The main thing that it is known for is that lightening of scars. Overtime, with regular use of this vitamin, it will make your scars incredibly lighter.

Nevertheless, this isn't the only thing that vitamin E can do for you. Lots of people think that if they don't have scars that they don't need vitamin E in their skincare routine. Vitamin E can accomplish much more than just lightening scars.

Here are some things you may not be aware of about vitamin E:

• Daily use of Vitamin E is extremely good for your skin and can prevent wrinkles
Vitamin E has long been known as a natural healer. When it is applied to tears in the skin, can actually help the skin re-seal rather than just heal up. This is why scars will almost disappear when treated with vitamin E. Simply put, wrinkles are tiny scars where the outer layers of your skin have cracked then re-healed. If you have already been using vitamin E regularly, then you have a head start at healing cracks when they happen.

• Vitamin E will be work twice as good if you exfoliate the right way
Exfoliating your skin removes all the dead skin cells. This decreases the depth of wrinkles and acne scars. When you exfoliate and use vitamin E regularly, the appearance of scars and wrinkles will diminish quickly. Never exfoliate more than a couple times a week because you may irritate your skin to the point of chronic inflammation.

• Vitamin E reduces the appearance of stretch marks
Stretch marks are the result of your skin stretching or tearing but not actually breaking. Nonetheless, the actual distortion of your skin will still create an opportunity for the formation of scar tissue. Use vitamin E daily and you can actually prevent stretch marks from forming at all.

However, there are more uses for vitamin E than just topical. Many people take a daily vitamin E supplement as well as using it to help their skin. Vitamin E oil supplements can also be broken open and used on your skin. You may be amazed at what you can accomplish for your skin when the vitamin E is coming from both inside and out.

Awards should be given out for the best mineral makeup scam. Mineral makeup is being advertised to no end. But only a few of these so-called best mineral makeups are really that good.

But, being the best mineral makeup, it is worth the wait. Mineral makeup can actually resolve skin issues like acne and chronic breakouts while you are wearing it to cover them up. Also, mineral makeup gives you a beautiful glow that looks completely natural. Even better: use it long enough and you actually get to keep some of the results when you wash it off.

But how in the world are going to be able to tell the difference? Above all, some of the best mineral makeup is far cheaper than the worst mineral makeup. Below are some suggestions on how to avoid mineral makeup scams:

• Don't just pick by the best price
Even the best mineral makeup can be found at very affordable prices. Believe it or not, some of the worst are the the most elite of the bunch. You definitely must not assume that just because you are paying the most you are getting the best.

• Do not use talc
All types of makeup contain high volumes of talc. Talc is a mineral that is used widely used in all makeup and they can claim that they are mineral makeup by the amount of talc contained in the product. Talc is a common allergen, though. Most (though not all) of the best mineral makeup products limit or avoid it.

• You should not buy into nanoparticles
When companies claim the reduce their minerals to “nanoparticles” you may not want to believe everything they say. They all try to say that this process will make the makeup more natural, effective and smoother. However, nanoparticles may be soaked up by your skin in unconventional ways. This hasn't been researched enough to verify that this is safe. They are usually made in unregulated areas and their contents may not be fully tested.

Now that you have some information to work with, you should easily be able to spot the mineral makeup scams. The best mineral makeup is at your fingertips and you will get the best possible results.

In the past year those has been so much media hype about mineral makeup that everyone is looking for natural mineral remedies. Nevertheless, not all makeup minerals are that great. Some of the most common are at best ineffectual. Using these types of mineral makeups can really cause serious problems.

Naturally, you want to get as much as you can from the minerals in your makeup. However, they may not want to switch over to mineral makeup entirely. Maybe they just want earth minerals. Maybe the want the anti-aging benefits. Could be that they just want to stay away from potential problems minerals can cause.

You should understand results you will get from the minerals in your makeup. Below is a brief list of makeup minerals. You will look at your makeup's ingredients and understand them.

• Zinc and zinc oxide
Pure mineral makeups usually contain these products. These minerals are natural sunscreens. Use should use these minerals if you would like to smooth out your features and hide wrinkles. When you have these minerals in their purest form, they will not aggravate your skin.

• Titanium dioxide
In pure mineral makeup, this is a very popular ingredient. It smoothes irregularities in complexion If it is in pure mineral makeup, then it also can alleviate acne and rosacea. However, it can also be mixed with artificial ingredients that may make the end result less hypoallergenic.

• Mica
The anti-aging element in mineral makeup is Mica. Look for this mineral when buying your pure mineral makeup. It also deflects attention from irregularity. Mica in mineral makeup is ground very fine so that you do not look like you are wearing glitter. This is a very popular anti-aging and camouflaging ingredient even in non-mineral makeups.

• Bismuth
There has been controversy when using Bismuth in mineral makeups. This mineral is also unrefined. To be put in mineral makeup, Bismuth must first be processed. Its not that easy to just crush into powder. Some will claim that this mineral shouldn't even be known as a pure earth mineral. Many people like it because of the fresh “glow” you get. However, if you tend to sweat or have sensitive skin you may not want to use mineral makeups containing this mineral, as it will make you itch.

• Talc
Talc is the most common makeup mineral. It has played a very large role in makeup since makeup was first used. Talc is a mineral that people can be allergic to. Its main function is to be used as a filler. Talc is in most all conventional makeups. Pure mineral makeup products usually leave out talc because it is a common allergen.

You have to be careful with acne product reviews. Using the wrong medications could make your breakouts even worse. Look at every feature of a review before buying anything. Knowing the type of acne the medication is intended for is very important. Knowing whether the treatment is a preventative or for healing existing breakouts. You will also have to determine whether you can deal with the side effects.

We have compiled this list of acne reviews with this information in mind. Some of the products are really good. Some consumers really seem to think they are amazing. Some of the others are just terrible. Check out our acne product reviews to see if your acne treatment made the list.

Stars

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:
This is an affordable and very good product. It also can be used with basically any degree of acne. The wash removes oil. Use it twice a day. But it leaves the skin a tiny bit dry. Using an oil-free moisturizer will fix the problem. In about a week, users could tell there was improvement. This kept improving over time. The wash won't always make skin totally clear for everyone. If you have severe acne, though, this will make a noticeable difference. Clearing up mild to moderate acne can be achieved with the wash.

Proactiv:
This is in our stars acne product reviews because it works and it works great. Lots of consumers only use Proactive – and we don't mean the actors in the commercials. Proactive does have many very mixed reviews. This acne treatment will most likely be a lifesaver for mild to moderate acne. However, if you have truly severe acne it may not respond. Proactiv kills the bacteria in your pores that cause acne. This treatment is successful will work relatively fast if there isn't too much bacteria. This is why sometimes severe acne is too much for this product. Your skin may be clear but you still have to use this product or the bacteria will come back.

Stinkers

Clear and Continuous Control Acne Cleanser:
This facial cleanser is excellent. When you wash your face, it feels all cool and tingly. But its not a good treatment at all for acne. While it felt great, it had few to no effects. Nonetheless, users who are prone to breakouts (not acne) had some luck with this product. It is on our “stinkers” list because it does not live up to the “acne cleanser” part of its name.

Murad Acne Treatments:
Murad is well known for their great cosmetics and beauty products. However, it seems that they should have steered clear of acne products. Murad's acne products tend to make the problem worse for most who use it. With a money-back guarantee you will have to wait on your refund while possibly dealing with some serious image issues. If you really want to give this product a try use it carefully.

Of course these are just a few acne treatments. These acne products were the ones that seemed to be the most popular. It is always wise to check acne product reviews before buying.

An acne diet sounds like a wonderful idea. Hasn't everybody heard that chocolate will give you pimples? Almost all of us have. So instead of causing a break out, you could prevent it by watching what you eat.

However, an acne diet can be a hard thing to develop. It is highly personal and based on your body’s unique responses to food. Progress, for the most part, will be trial and error. Watch your skin carefully. Write down all changes. You could keep a photo journal. At the time your skin clears stick the diet plan you were following.

Here are a few instructions to help get you started on an acne diet:

1. Increase your protein intake. Many dermatologists are under the belief that protein is connected with clearer skin. Oil production is limited from an enzyme located within protein. Oily skin tends to be more prone to breakouts.

2. Stay away from carbohydrates. Its not necessary to cut out all carbohydrates. But you should try to limit your intake so that they are about 40 percent of your diet. This is because compounds in carbohydrates can stimulate oil production. This is why so many people think that junk food causes acne. In reality junk food just has a high carb content.

3. Green tea is a must. Real green tea is the best, try to drink it The best type of green tea is the kind that you brew. But, if you really don't like it, the natural green tea drinks will work. Green tea will limit the creation of androgen. Breakouts have been known to be caused by a hormone called androgen.

4. Restrict your salt intake. Salt usually contains iodine. This is the reason we usually call table salt “iodized salt.” Of course for some people with acne, iodine can cause big breakouts.

In addition to watching your diet, you should carefully watch what you put on your face. If you currently have acne, you are more aware than most of what is contained in your beauty products. Use oil free moisturizers and organic skin care products. These are least likely to cause a breakout. If you wear makeup, then consider investing in mineral makeup. Many dermatologists believe that mineral makeup can actually alleviate acne problems and enhance the results of your acne diet.

Skin repair indicates many different things. This is likely because there are myriad ways that skin can get damaged. Each type of damage is different. Often the effectiveness of skin repair depends on choosing the right treatment.

You can see some common types of skin damage below:

* Weathering is a type of damage
* Wrinkling
* Scarring is common
* Discoloration is a type of damage
* Breakouts and inflammation are a type of damage

Some of these types of damage can be treated using common treatments. Others require unique and specific treatments. For example, treating a breakout can cause wrinkles if you do not take care. Conversely, using wrinkle repair products may give you breakouts. A scar is a totally different issue that requires totally different treatment.

Keeping your skin hydrated is one of the most important factors in skin repair. You can plump wrinkles and smooth weathering with a good moisturizer. A good moisturizer can also resolve the dryness that comes with acne treatments. Of course, you need to pick a moisturizer that fits your particular needs. Breakouts and discoloration mean oil-free moisturizer. Anti-aging requires serious moisturizers with extra ingredients to be effective.

Vitamins play a big role in the lightening of scars. They also contribute to anti-aging regimens, but can complicate breakout issues. You can really improve the state of your skin by taking vitamins A, C and E. If you do not have sensitive skin then topical applications are a good thing to consider. Be careful when dosing or applying because some of these vitamins can make you sensitive to the sun.

When it comes to weathering, skin repair gets complicated. Weathering and scarring can be alleviated by exfoliation. You remove dead skin and stimulate new growth with this process. You need a lot of patience for this type of skin repair because it can take time to get results. Do not exfoliate more than twice a week.

You can now clearly see that skin repair is quite diverse. Many of the treatments can be used together. In order to resolve all your skin issues, you will need to adjust and tailor your skin repair routine.

If you are a savvy cosmetic shopper, then you know that the best mineral makeup is unlike all others. There are lots of reasons to be interested in buying mineral makeup, including:

* Consistent use of mineral makeup often eases symptoms of adult acne and rosacea

* Mineral makeups’ natural SPF is 15

* Mineral makeup just looks more natural

* Mineral makeup can be applied in a diverse number of ways

* Mineral makeup does not wear off

* You can actually sleep in some mineral makeup products

Of course, buying a product just because it is labeled “mineral makeup” is not enough.

In order to get these benefits and many others, you truly need the best mineral makeup available. Do not worry because this does not mean that these cosmetics are the most expensive. This does mean however that they have special qualities other mineral makeup products do not.

Here are a few ways to get the best mineral makeup on the market:

* Look for an absence of artificial colors and fragrances - The best mineral makeup will not contain any artificial colors or fragrances. This does not mean that the best mineral makeup is limited to earth tones. It just means you should not spot ingredients like “yellow dye #5.”

* Talc can be a red flag - Large quantities of talc have enabled many makeup products to label themselves as mineral makeup. It is true that talc is a mineral. However, it is also a common allergen and serves as a filler to bulk up makeup products. The best mineral makeup lines do not contain talc.

* Mica, Zinc and Titanium are all good signs - Mica is an age minimize because it reflects light out of wrinkles. Titanium and zinc naturally create an SPF barrier of 15. These are all “earth minerals” and have not been chemically processed.

The best mineral makeup products may not contain much other than these ingredients.

* Keep an eye out for short ingredients lists - The best mineral makeup products will be simple. You should aim to find products that reflect this. Some mineral cosmetics have as few as five ingredients.

If you want a wider array of colors, then you may need a few more components. Of course, the rule in general is that simpler is better.

Keeping an eye on the details will help you get the best in mineral makeup.
