Its kinda hard and it hurts after a sit for a long time. I have a little itching but not really any pain. Just an irritating felling of pressure. I've never had a hemorrhoid? Do you think this could be one forming?

Could indeed be either internal or external Hemorrhoids. You could try an OTC cream such a Preperation-H and see if it helps the symptoms. But if it persists, best to have your doctor check it out (I knowm gross, but better safe than sorry!) since it could be some type of tumor.
Good Luck!

A prolapsed hemorrhoid will go back inside the rectum on its own, or you can gently press it back into the anus with your fingertips.

External hemorrhoid treatment can be achieved by employing a number of treatment techniques. They are characterized by pain, discomfort, itching, burning and bleeding in the bowels. There exists numerous relief cures for this type of hemorrhoid. When identified in time, it can respond well to medication and save you the embarrassment of having to itch in public.

External hemorrhoids are caused by a number of reasons. However, the exact reason for this disease is not yet established. In general nonetheless, hemorrhoids originate from excessive abdominal pressure increasing the blood pressure within the veins.

It has been proven that despite their irritating signs and symptoms that are scary at the least, external hemorrhoids treatment can be done by adjusting lifestyles. That means making hard lifestyle choices. Even though there are plenty of drugs and medicine that can help relieve this illness, they will heavily depend on the effort the patient puts towards healing themselves.

As with any other forms of hemorrhoids, a patient can chose to go surgical or opt for the non surgical methods of healing. In addition, other than lifestyle changes, herbal or natural remedies may also help in this particular treatment. External hemorrhoids can cause a lot of stress to a sufferer because of the way they attack. Hope is not lost however, chose a remedy that suits you and give it a go. It is always safe and easy to treat external hemorrhoids if discovered just in time or early enough.

But even if discovered late, there are still more options to explore before e settling on a remedy for external hemorrhoid treatment. Full hemorrhoidectomy is the only surgical option for hemorrhoids that are fully grown. Invasive a process as it may be, it offers the best shot at fighting hemorrhoids at advanced stages that other treatments methods could not have managed.

But if you must have a surgery performed on you, find an experienced and skilled surgeon to do it. Experienced physicians know how to treat via surgery, advanced hemorrhoids. Whatever you do, be sure to notice external hemorrhoids early to prevent yourself from experiencing this heartache.

Hemorrhoids, often called piles, are swollen and inflamed veins in and around the anus and lower rectum.

When you are suffering for hemorrhoids the first thing that you really want to know is how to get rid of them as fast and safely as you possibly can and for most people, there are three main options to choose from:

Call a doctor;

Go online and search for information;

Go to the store and buy something over the counter

Are you one of those that feels it is best to jump online automatically and go searching for what you need to know? Although it may seem like the fastest way to get information, it may not actually be so. If you want proof of this just try doing a simple search for something that you know that you can find easily. Chances are that you are going to find a great deal of information in those search results that has nothing whatsoever to do with what you need.

So what are you choices when you really get right down to it? Well, you actually might want to consider talking to your doctor first, and after you have some basic information then using this to go online and look for more information.

This may be a good method if you are satisfied with pharmaceutical remedies, but how about finding information about good and safe natural relief options to deal with hemorrhoids? For this information, you may want to go to an alternative medical practitioner. You may want to consider looking in the phone book to see if there is a homeopathic or naturopathic doctor that practices in your local area. This might be something that you think or feel is totally alien to you if you have ever thought about trying any other way of treating your physical ailments other than prescription medications and Western Medicine. You might seriously want to consider this option as one that is valid and workable.

Another option is to go to the store and talk with the pharmacist or a pharmacy technician to see what they have to say. However, what answers you get may vary quite a bit depending on the training of the pharmacist you visit.

One of the things that you really need to remember - and this is an important tip here folks - is to keep your cool and remember that Rome was not built in a day. Keeping a level head when you are searching for information online is something that will actually help you keep things from getting even worse than they already are. Fortunately, for most, hemorrhoids is not a life threatening condition and although they can be very uncomfortable, it is worth the effort to do careful research and to take the time to learn about all options available for treatment.

Adding more fruits and vegetables and fiber-rich foods to your menu is also another very good way to ease the strain on your lower body. If this is something that sounds pretty easy to do you might want to start doing these things right away. It has long been proven hat adding different foods and plenty of water plus different fruit and vegetable juices to your diet is one of the best options open to all of us.

If the hemorrhoids that you are dealing with are a little more serious than simply being bothersome then you need to consider the combination of seeking professional medical attention as well as natural means of taking care of the problem as the best treatment for hemorrhoids. When you are starting to deal with rectal bleeding in addition to the itching and burning and swelling that are the hallmarks of hemorrhoids you would be wise to contact your doctor and seek appropriate medical treatment. The reason being that any bleeding is a sign that something far more serious has happened inside that needs medical attention right away.

If you happen to be dealing with a case of hemorrhoids that does not respond to anything that has been already suggested this is a pretty serious matter indeed. If it has gotten so painful that you have no choice but to go to the hospital to get some relief then it is safe to say that going to the hospital is the best treatment for hemorrhoids in that case. This is not really something that you want to let go that long though.

All in all the best treatment for hemorrhoids is not always going to be one thing or the other all the time. You are going to find out that it is often better to vary your approach and methods of dealing with your hemorrhoids. Having more than one type of treatment method and plan is often a live-saver in and of itself. There has already been so much that has been said and written about the different types of natural remedies as well as the medical approaches that often help to solve this often painful and problematic problem. The best advice would be to research them all pretty thoroughly before you even think about making any decisions of any type.

There are two types of hemorrhoids: internal and external.

Internal hemorrhoids are by far the most common variety of hemorrhoid. They descend upon almost any provocation. While they are usually not painful, they can cause quite a bit of stress and anxiety because of their propensity to bleed and to prolapse out of the anal canal. Hemorrhoids aren't fun no matter where they come from, but the strategies for treating internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids are often quite different. Internal hemorrhoids originate from delicate, absorbent and relatively insensitive intestinal tissue, while external hemorrhoids originate from the skin on the outside of the body.

Internal hemorrhoids start with stress and strain on the large, elastic veins of the hemorrhoidal cushions lining the end of the anal canal. These hemorrhoidal cushions serve as a warning system for the "urge to go" and to protect the delicate anus and rectum from the tearing, twisting and turning forces frequently experienced in that area. The veins in question are meant to expand to many times their usual diameter in order to "inflate" the cushions. Of course, they are also meant to "deflate" again, meaning that the walls of the vein are much like a rubber band. However, a rubber band can be overextended, unable to retract again. Vein walls can stretch too far, too, and will generally give way at a weak spot. That weak area will fill up with blood and balloon outward, taking a bit of the internal tissue with it. When this happens up inside the intestinal tissue, an internal hemorrhoid is the result.

There are a number of things that cause an excess of force on the hemorrhoidal cushions. The most common reason is constipation, with diarrhea coming in a close second. Both conditions tend to result in severe downward muscular force on the area. Excessive sitting on the toilet also tends to cause them because the normal toilet sitting position removes any possibility of muscular support from the pelvic floor. That means that all of your internal bits are only held up by their tendon attachments and the hemorrhoidal cushions are hanging free in midair.

Other causes include excessive force or frequency while wiping after toileting. This can cause serious inflammation in the area, bringing more blood than can be supported by the vein walls. Irritating chemicals or dyes in toilet paper or underwear can also be culprits, as can underwear or clothing that is too tight. Sitting for long periods of time, such as at the computer, can also cause or worsen hemorrhoids. Basically, hemorrhoids are usually a product of our lifestyle, with some people more prone to them than others.

Unfortunately, once you've got an internal hemorrhoid, you've generally got it for quite some time. Most over the counter medications are meant for external hemorrhoids and will do you no good. The best thing to do is try to reduce your symptoms while making the lifestyle changes that will both eliminate the current batch of hemorrhoids you're suffering from. Once they're gone, you can get on with the rest of your hemorrhoid free life.

If an external hemorrhoid becomes strangulated cut off from blood supply, a clot can form in it and become an excruciatingly painful thrombosed hemorrhoid.

You may be extremely surprised to know that the parallels between hemorrhoids and varicose veins are almost identical. In essence hemorrhoids are actually varicose veins that are located around the rectum or anus. Here are a few of those similarities that may astonish you.

Varicose veins and hemorrhoids are both very common conditions in the United States that affect both men and women. When it comes to varicose veins it affects about 15 percent of men and 25 percent of women. Hemorrhoids, on the other hand, affects approximately 10 million Americans. By the age of 50 about half of the population will have experienced some form or symptom of hemorrhoids.

Pregnancy - pregnant women complain of the development of both these conditions. Varicose veins develop because of the decrease of blood flow from the legs to the pelvis and may worsen during late pregnancy because the uterus exerts greater pressure on the veins in your legs. As for hemorrhoids, the amount of pressure of the baby upon the abdomen, hormonal changes in the woman's body, and finally the severe pressure during childbirth are all causes for the hemorrhoidal vessels to enlarge.

Symptoms - the symptoms for both of these conditions are also very surprisingly similar. In the case of varicose veins a few of the symptoms may include an achiness, heaviness, burning, muscle cramping and swelling or throbbing in your legs. There may also be itchiness around the enlarged vein. For hemorrhoids you may experience irritation and itchiness, blood covering the stool or on toilet paper after use, pain from a swollen vein or hard lump around the anus.

Common risk factors - both conditions also have a few common risk factors which may increase your chances of developing either of these ailments. For example, if you do a lot of sitting like at your job then you will increase your chances developing hemorrhoids. Likewise, if your job consists of a lot of standing for long periods of time then there is the potential risk of the development of varicose veins. In both these circumstances, sitting or standing for long periods does not allow for the blood to flow thus causing strain.

Sex and Obesity- women have a greater probability of developing both hemorrhoids and varicose veins due to hormonal changes, pregnancy or menopause. Also, gaining extra weight, in both men and women, will add more pressure on veins resulting in either of these conditions.

Prevention - preventative care will help to decrease the potential of developing either or both of these conditions for both men and women. Some great preventative measures you can start with are exercise, diet and living a good and healthy lifestyle. A fantastic exercise that will help for both conditions is walking. Walking will help with blood flow and circulation without any added strain. As for diet, you should try and eat a low salt, high fiber diet with whole grains, fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water, approximately 6 to 8 glasses a day.

A prolapsed hemorrhoid will go back inside the rectum on its own, or you can gently press it back into the anus with your fingertips.

Hemorrhoids, they are a pain in the backside - literally. Hemorrhoids (also known as piles) are round swellings on the inside of the anal canal - the short, muscular tube that connects your rectum (back passage) with your anus.

There is a network of small veins (blood vessels) within the inside lining of your anus and lower rectum. These veins sometimes become wider and engorged with more blood than usual. These en-gorged veins and the overlying tissue may then form into one or more small swellings called hemorrhoids.

Want to know what exactly causes Hemorrhoids? This is a difficult question to answer as there are many causes and often a variety of factors that contribute to their development. What is known is that once you have them they are difficult to get rid of and will usually increase in size if the underlying causes are not addressed. There are two distinct types of hemorrhoids (internal and external) which are classified into four basic stages.

Stage 1: Are swellings on the lining of your anal canal, they can bleed but can't be seen from the outside of the anus. These hemorrhoids are very common.

Stage 2: Are larger and protrude (known as prolapsed) from the anus during a bowel movement, but return inside shortly afterward.

Stage 3: Protrude (prolapse) from the anus and only return when you push them back in.

Stage 4: Permanently protrude from the anus and can be very painful and become extremely swollen.

In rare circumstances an External Hemorrhoid (perianal haematoma) can develop. These form on the outside edge of the anus itself and are particularly painful, although less common than internal hemorrhoids. These are particularly vulnerable and often cause the sufferer much distress. Occasionally blood clots can form in the external hemorrhoid (known as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid) causing intense pain which requires urgent medical treatment. Pain usually subsides after three or so days and after a few weeks the hemorrhoid shrinks to a small painless skin tag.

Other causes of lumps around the anus can include a sentinel pile, which is the painless skin tag that develops when a crack in the anus (an anal fissure) heals up. If you are unsure whether you have a haemorrhoid and your symptoms are severe you should always consult a qualified health professional in the first instance. Some of the more common symptoms of hemorrhoids are as follows;
